D_Legolas, classics like Noize and Nostromo's works don't really have a narrative or anything specific to understand for that matter, nonetheless they are highly praised by the majority of the community and duly so, therefor I don't really get your point, implying there is one to begin with.

Peculiar color grading for the type of video, low contrast and saturation mixed with chromatic aberration looks quite odd paired with the uplifting vibe, gives it more of a Ａｅｓｔｈｅｔｉｃ Ｖａｐｏｒｗａｖｅ feel and set's it apart somehow so it's not really a complaint, just a zany choice.

Sure people are comparing it to Nostromo, but he didn't copyright or invent the style so I don't see the point as to why people are even bringing it up, other than the fact that bitching about other people's amvs is the "cool" thing to do these days.

I enjoyed it, sometimes ideas are best kept free and unrestricted of unnecessary rules instead of obsessing over a narrative.

Not bad and it ends before it starts getting mundane so keeping the clip short was the right choice.

Wouldn't recommend exporting 23.976fps source footage as 29.970fps though, because this happens:

The font you used feels awkward when paired with the clip and general feel of the song, along with the overlays we've seen hundreds of times before.
The idea and effort show, but they're not exactly well executed or that original/captivating to begging with but it's something, most effects and tv-like distortions didn't have any sound to accompany them thus feeling superfluous.

Really enjoyed it, glad to see more editors using motion interpolation in order to manipulate time to their advantage.

I honestly think Twixtor was handled well, and most of the fatuous complaints about artifacts would have been avoided if you had used ReelSmart Motion Blur or another motion blur method, not to mention using masks and mattes to help guide twixtor for rare extreme cases.

buggy, Very glad to hear you feel that way! You definitely have alot of potential and I can understand how tiring it can be having your work compared to others, but don't worry, people always have to find something to complain about.

Congratulations on getting 2nd place overall, pretty impressive effort for some random guy from interwebs I've never seen before, most Original Concept? If we're talking in the AMV community, perhaps, your inspirations are clear, so comparisons are inevitable, and you should not get so worked up over them.

With that said you should not get discouraged by taking 2nd place, look forward to your next work and ideas.

Amazing job, no doubt one of the absolute best of Akross 2015!
Even if it's not my style or personal preference there's no denying how well made this is, not to mention the amount of effort and thought put into it this, it leaves me no choice but to rate 5.

I don't even like the music but the video as a whole is really damn good.
