Author's comment: YES!! I DID IT!! HAHAHA! I actually finished it on the 3rd, but I had ideas that I wanted to add to it but then decided not to ;v; I'm sorry! It would've been a music video type thing but I wanted you guys to see most of the motion. And also, the music was laggy on my editing program so I couldn't really... Do anything to a beat while editing and had to rely on the MMD renders where they started and stopped and such.. ANYWAY, YEAH, IT'S DONE WOOT!!

AMVNews.ru announces the annual spring AMV competition - Big Contest 2016. We welcome creators from all over the world to join us with any kind of AMVs. Remember that contest entries should be exclusive, i.e the contest video can't be released online before the premiere at AMVNews. Participants can register via on-line form, registration is opened till the submission deadline for those who have the site account. Videos can be submitted from March 15th till April 15th, 2016.

Prize fund
1 place – 5000 roubles + statuette
2 place – 4000 roubles + statuette
3 place – 3000 roubles + statuette
4 place – 2000 roubles + statuette
5 place – 1000 roubles + statuette

This year we have the contest rules translated to several languages. We used last year translations made by community volunteers with some minor changes so if you find any mistakes in any of the rules please let us know. Also, if you are a foreign creator and are willing to help us with more translations please write a PM to Turbo or Minstrel. AMVNews won't forget you! )

Contest video of AKROSS Con 2015

Author's comment: Beat O’clock is an AMV I made with the intention of expressing my personal interpretation of the song as well as to share with the world what I visualize when I close my eyes. The definition of speed, ideas, rhythm and my own personal thoughts came along the way in the making of the video. While I was progressing, it became a continuous source of inspiration. I also wanted to choose all of these scenes in order for the viewers to freely interpret the video in their own way and not focus on an objective and narrow-minded perspective. The video was made in order for people to immerse themselves, triggering determined feelings, different from each individual. This video is especially dedicated to my friend Nanuk, who has helped me a lot along the way telling me to never give up. He hasn’t made any AMV’s yet, but he has some audiovisual knowledge and a good critical sense, making him the best spectator possible. I also wanted to thank Nostromo for inspiring me on doing what I’ve done. The editing process started not so long ago, but I’ve always had this idea in my head. Beat O’clock is a video for EDM and Anime lovers, but also for those who know how to reach the objective, sometimes hard or sometimes too simple, that is confronting yourself.

This was my video for the Souls Team 2013 and it didn't come that far but I didn't realy care :D Why? Because I always don't care that much but it was a lot of fun for a 3 day workout :D I tried later to make it a bit better but I couldn't bring my self up to it ^^

Hi everyone! When I heard for the first time this song, which I fell in love immediately, I wanted to make an amv with it. I had not yet clear what to do, what anime etc ... I had no idea how it was the final result, because I had never experienced this kind of amv, that was not action. Unfortunately I could not change all the mistakes, because I lost the original project. Not exactly what I had in mind, but I'm happy with the final result, and still be, more or less, able to develop this idea.

Author's comment:  The idea of this amv came to me while listening to Daft Punk's "Within". Here are a couple of lyrics - "There are so many things that I don't understand/ There's a world within me that I cannot explain". You can make your own story after watching this - I'll just give you the idea (this is like what a logline is to a movie): the amv is about people being apart from each other (friends, family, lovers), who recall the good old times and now have to struggle in the present overfilled with nostalgia. The whole amv is made up of metaphors - you can interpret them however you see fit. I have my own story in mind.
