Contests

The 2017 Viewer's Choice Awards announced. The schedule of events is as follows: 

•  Nomination voting: February 14th - February 27th
•  Semifinal voting: March 1st – March 15th
•  Final Voting: March 17th - March 27th
•  Winners announced: after March 27th

If you released any videos during 2016, they are most likely eligible for entry in the VCAs. Please head over to the Eligibility Page to make sure you're not disqualified! The deadline for clearing up eligibility issues is February 12th, 2017. If you're not cleared by then, then you will not be able to participate this year - so don't forget to make your fixes!

Организаторы фестиваля FreeTime Fest (Гомель, Беларусь) приглашают всех желающих принять участие в конкурсе AMV и FMV в рамках фестиваля. К участию принимаются клипы, созданные после 1 декабря 2016 года и не занимавшие призовые места на иных фестивалях или мероприятиях аналогичной направленности. Заявки на конкурс принимаются до 9 марта 2017. Предусмотрены призы для победителей. В случае победы участника, которые не присутствует на фестивале, приз высылается ему по почте.

AMVNews.ru announces the annual spring AMV competition - Big Contest 2017. We welcome creators from all over the world to join us with any kind of AMVs. Remember that contest entries should be exclusive, i.e the contest video can't be released online before the premiere at AMVNews. Participants can register via on-line form, registration is opened till the submission deadline for those who have the site account. Videos can be submitted from March 15th till April 15th, 2017. This year we have expermental rule change which allows to use any animation.

Prize fund
1 place – 5000 roubles + statuette
2 place – 4000 roubles + statuette
3 place – 3000 roubles + statuette
4 place – 2000 roubles + statuette
5 place – 1000 roubles + statuette

This year we have the contest rules translated to several languages. We used last year translations made by community volunteers with some minor changes so if you find any mistakes in any of the rules please let us know. Also, if you are a foreign creator and are willing to help us with more translations please write a PM to Turbo or Minstrel. AMVNews won't forget you! )

AMV studio Ellines Nakama Productions invites everyone to participate in Wildfire IC. The dates of this IC are midnight (UTC+02:00) January 27 - midnight (UTC+02:00) January 29. You may participate by yourself or in a group. Both AMVs and GMVs / Live action videos accepted (as part of a special category).
1st, 2nd and 3rd overall winners will get an exclusive present from the anime-otaku online store AnimeHouse.gr.

Registration of participants

Annual contest of fan-made videos CreaCon 2017 has officially started. Entries accepted from March 1st till March 15th, 2017. Any kind of exclusive fan-made videos can be entered, the ones made of movies, TV series, games, sport shows, as well as self-shot footage and original 3D. The one main restriction concerns anime music videos: those are not accepted because CreaCon was originally created as an alternative to AMV contests. Videos on any subject matter are good for participation. No previous registration required. Today CreaCon is the largest FMV event on Runet, so don't miss it!

Contest of coubs (short cycled videos) held in AMVNews VKontakte group has come to semifinals. Below are 32 semi-finalists (out of 150 participant entries in total). Watch below (click on the picture to open player).

3-4 декабря 2016 года пройдет десятый юбилейный фестиваль анимации, комиксов, научной фантастики/фэнтези в кино/компьютерных играх и связанного с ними популярного искусства Dai-Fest (г. Омск). Организаторы приглашают всех желающих принять участие в конкурсе AMV в рамках фестиваля. На конкурс принимаются работы, сделанные не ранее 1 января 2016 года (более ранний срок допустим только для работ, которые не были нигде показаны/выложены для публичного доступа). Допустимо присылать не только AMV и GMV (любые), но и клипы на основе  японских, корейских, китайских фильмов, либо фильмов, снятых по комиксам.

Предусмотрены призы для победителей. Как правило, это набор сувенирной продукции с маскотом фестиваля, сертификаты магазинов комиксов/фигурок, непосредственно комиксы и/или фигурки, а также эксклюзивная статуэтка омской птицы, которая каждый год изготавливается в новом антураже специально для победителей конкурсов.

Приём работ уже идет и продлится до 13 ноября.

Группа AMVNews.ru ВКонтакте приглашает всех желающих принять участие в конкурсе коубов (коротких зацикленных видеороликов с несинхронным звуковым сопровождением, подробнее здесь). На конкурс допускаются коубы следующих тематик: аниме, манга, японские видеоигры, вокалоиды, а также косплей персонажей из этих источников. От каждого участника принимается не более трёх работ. Сроки проведения конкурса - с 31 октября по 13 ноября 2016 г. включительно. Предусмотрены призы для победителей.
