New videos

This was almost the video that broke my yearlong hiatus, but a third of the way through it I lost my drive and abandoned it. But after I finished the super serious mood piece "Moonshine", I found myself going back to the project, perhaps out of nostalgia.
This kind of video has been my bread and butter since I started editing many years ago: fun, upbeat, frantic videos. As I've been looking back lately, I realize why I've made so many videos like that and why I returned to this one to finish it. Because these videos are really fun to edit. That's about the sum of it.

Arakawa Under the Bridge is a very charming series. It taps hard into the part of me that really enjoys stories about collections of ridiculous misfits. Part of my affection for such things can no doubt be attributed to my time in a certain facility for at risk youths, of which the title of this video is a veiled reference to. It's a time in my life that I look back on somewhat fondly, despite the fact that the actual day to day of living there was at times nightmarish. Though, now that I've been away for many years, I can look back and find the constant insanity and nonsense genuinely amusing.

I overheard the song at the beginning of the video design.
This song shows me a colorful world, but the world is not perfect.
This song didn't meet my expectations at first because it was totally different from what I wanted to express.
So I started to make an audio clip to make this song fit the mood I wanted.
Finally, this video was born.
The first half of the video shows what I do every month and how I feel at that time.
The second half is that everyone in the world goes through the morning, noon and evening, and what can we do in that time?

My super rushed entry for Crows IC, but I'm satisfied of the work since I find it pretty funny since I filled it with lots of memes.
It's all about the character of Yotsugi Ononoki, the doll and I tried to catch the funny aspects of the anime. Hope you guys enjoy it as I did ;)

Author's comment: If you guys could dive into my mind, this video is my psychological profile in a nutshell.

Well, I know this took me way too much than it should but I had a lot of personal things to do this year so I didn't edit this video for months and decided to wrap it up last week lol I'm not expecting a lot of people to like this AMV because this is something very niche and it isn't a fancy edit but I'm quite glad with the outcome!

Also I'm happy for finally participating in this contest again, it's been a while since the last time I did but last year was wacky af, so yeah, expect to see me more frequently again (:

This video was originally started by LukeG about 1 year ago, after which he paused the project to dedicate himself to another video. I saw the preview and I liked it a lot. When Lukeg took up the project he realized that it was actually corrupt, so he abandoned it. I wasn't satisfied, so I insisted on a collaboration and I resumed, starting right from the last preview passed a few months earlier, trying to do my best. Despite the many commitments of mine and Lukeg we were able to create a video that we think is potentially enjoyable.

Всем привет.
Не знаю с чего начать. Решился я взяться за то, за что браться и не думал. А это передать эмоции через такой сплав как: сентиментальная, частично романтическая драма. Понимая, что подобные работы реализуются не для залипания или пересмотра под настроение, а так чтобы зацепило так конкретно. И при этом надо выстроить все так чтобы все это воспринималось всерьез. Что бы не было сказано - «Не верю!». А мне такое совершенно не по душе. Поэтому данное сочетание я оставил на волю другим авторам. Ну кто-то же возьмется за столь очевидную работу, думал я.

И вот наступило время опять засучить рукава и сделать что-то интересное на акросс. Сижу и перебираю некоторые старые задумки и ясно осознаю, что они практически все изжили себя и тратить на них время я больше точно не буду. Исключение у меня всего одно, если есть трек, который меня силком заставит что-то делать.

Так вот эту работу я отпихивал от себя до самого конца. Отговаривая себя всеми правдами и неправдами. Но спустя некоторое время раздумий поймал себя на мыcли, что ничего кроме этой работе на акросс мне делать нечего. На протяжении всего процесса, я успел раз сто пожалеть о том, что решился взяться вот так вслепую. Не понимая, что и как надо делать. Но зная лишь то, что такое м/в должен увидеть свет. И самое главное, что это наконец-то закончилось. Больше на подобное я подписываться точно не буду. Одного раза для нервного истощения мне хватило с избытком. И даже сейчас я не до конца понимаю, что у меня поучилось. Но одно я знаю точно, это еще минус один проект, который не будет кипятить мне голову.
