MDL (Pro): I am really happy with the final product, he worked a lot on this one and tried to improve both his technique and the lyric synch. I had a lot of fun showing him stuff through vocal chat, Hedge had loads of ideas that he could implement more efficiently thanks to this contest. I hope he will improve even more in the next months and years and I hope you'll enjoy this work. Don't take the scenes too seriously.

Believe is an interesting video. It is a favorite of many AMV editors and fans. In fact, it is my favorite AMV of all time. It was somewhat controversial at the time of it's release though, with some people commenting that the effects were distracting, and Kevin even expressed his disappointment with how the video turned out. It ultimately did not win any awards at Anime Expo. Perhaps this video was just ahead of it's time?
Sure, it's not a perfect video, and there are things that could be improved. Some of the effects might be a bit overdone, and I question some of the clip choices near the end. But taken as a whole, this video is nothing short of a masterpiece. Even forgetting about the effects, the editing itself is spectacular, and is in a class above any of Kevin's previous videos.
It is quite probable that Kevin used Adobe After Effects for this video, although it is entirely possible that it could have been done with just Adobe Premiere and a decent image editor.
I initially was not planning to remaster this one because the heavy use of effects makes it less clear cut whether I'm remastering it "accurately". With the other videos, it's mostly just a question of displaying the correct frame at the correct time. It's either right or it's not. But with a video like this, it's just not going to be exactly the same, no matter how close I can get it. I ultimately decided to just give it my best shot. I'm really glad that I did, because I got to see my favorite AMV in a way I have never seen before. I ended up spending about as much time remastering this video as I spent on all of the other videos combined.
I do have to admit that towards the beginning of the video, there were 3 spots that I had trouble finding the footage that Kevin used. One of those was an image of a clock, and I eventually discovered that this image was taken from Kevin's previous "Chantilly Lace" video. Next, I was unable to find the image of the stars that appear in the background. While I did find several shots of stars in Battle Athletes, none of them matched up with what appears in the AMV. It's possible that it could even be a composite of multiple images. For this, I ended up taking a frame from Kevin's original version and cleaning it up and sharpening it some, and then using a particle generator to add back some detail that was lost. I'm fairly satisfied with how that one turned out. Finally, there was a clip showing a heart monitor-type effect. This is definitely not from Battle Athletes, and I was not able to figure out where it came from. I ended up recreating it from scratch. If you look at my version side-by-side against the original, it is clear that they are not the same, but I do hope that it is not very noticable. But if anyone knows where the heart monitor scene came from, please let me know!

General: I'm not claiming this to be an original idea in any way. It's the best i could do in the time given and therefor it really did pay off. If following my original plans, there would be 2 other videos for 2010 that are still in work, but as always i was short on time due to exams and FACTION. So yeah i love this one and yes instead of my last one i am proud about this. Have fun watching.
History: This is a tribute to those Evangelion-Rammstein AMV's that got me into editing. Since there are new Evangelion movies and also a new Rammstein album, this was the perfect time to do it and since nothing else was possible in that short amount of time left, i did it. I started immediatly after my last exam on July 2nd instead of going to a party with my folks and kept working the whole weekend and the weekend after that (some breaks included for playing Titan Quest). I remastered it for real 60fps after Connichi so here it is. Nothing more to say. Oh before i forget i kinda toyed around in the intro ... don't pay too much attention to this.
Convention: Since JCD and I were attending ADVIK along with Koopiskeva, Lita, Lucas, Mirkosp and Shui, the effin best unexpected fun i had in years, i made a poorly short version of this at a time were this was still in progress ... just to have sth to attend the contest. I didn't win anything so don't bother about that. JAGDMEISTER was first premiered at Connichi 2010 AMV Contest, where it made 3rd place of the Exclusive Contest. It also participated in the AWA Pro marathon, where it got into the Finals of the Action Category. I'm very glad about the feedback i got in the voting process and sure it's not at all the best action AMV of the contest but thats for the editors to decide so i'm looking forward to the final results.

Лучшие клипмейкеры мира собрались в очередной третий раз и выдали новый Multieditor Project (MEP). Каждый, кто увлекается аниме клипами, найдет среди списка участников проекта знакомые имена. Многие из них уже засветились у нас на сайте со своими работами. Не подвели они и на этот раз - получился чистый восторг. Каждый из шестнадцати кусочков вкупе с опенингом и кредитсами заслуживает быть отдельным клипом. Свой стиль, свое аниме, свои эффекты, своя цветовая гамма. И все это не выглядит разрозненным, ибо над микшированием, как звука, так и видео работали профессионалы. Переходы от одного кусочка к другому часто не замечаешь. И не смотря на свой внушительный размер (целых 17 минут) просмотр клипа не надоедает, более того появляется желание его пересмотреть, что бы уточнить детали. От последних сегментов клипа я вообще поднимал челюсть с пола. =) Не пожалейте 200 мб и пополните свою коллекцию истинным креативом.

Трейлер от автора из Португалии. Как выяснилось тема из Матрицы хорошо подходит по смыслу сюжету Евангелиона. Шинджи выступил в роли Нео, Аска в роли Тринити. К сожалению косячков технического плана предостаточно, но за счет хорошей синхры, грамотного подбора эпических сцен и эмоционального липсинка они не так сильно мешают просмотру.

Okill: L'idée de ce concours me plaisais énormement et j'ai donc décidé de demander à Dn@ qui est l'un des meilleur clippeur de participer en tant que Pro comme il à déjà pu le faire aux éditions précedentes.
J'ai choisis une musique que j'avais découvert quelques semaine avant le debut du concours et qui me plaisais beaucoup.
Au final, ce fut une très bonne experience pour moi qui m'a permis de progresser sur de nombreux points. Je suis très content du résultats final et je tient à remercier Dn@ pour l'aide qu'il à pu m'apporter pour réaliser ce clip.
J'espère que vous passerez un bon moment devant ce clip !

Комментарий автора: Здравствуйте, ребята. На конец то, спустя долгое время у меня получилось сделать что то хорошее, на мой взгляд, что можно пересмотреть парочку раз. Надеюсь и вы так будете думать. Идея сего клипа зародилась в моей голове давно, но так как не было подходящих исходников для этого, пришлось отложить идею в черный ящик. Повезло что на свет появилось аниме о девочке-волшебнице Илие, а с ней и экранизированная Дарк Сейба. Особая благодарность Умике и Вовану, за детальный бета-тест. Приятного просмотра.

Galia & Kitty: Что ж, не прошло и года, как Лиа доделала клип >D Конечно, не всё успелось отшлифовать, ибо сроки поджимали, да и за несколько часов до дедлайна Лиа явилась со словами: "пусть будет что есть, к чертям все" =_= Но сам по себе клип вышел достойным и посложнее предыдущих. Ленилась Лийка редко, хотя иногда приходилось прикрикивать, да )) Но тем не менее она просто молодец. Клип смотрится на одном дыхании и цепляет с первых секунд. Особо вмешиваться в процесс создания не хотели, поэтому давали советы исключительно по самым спорным моментам. Приятного просмотра!
LIA: Фух, успели :DDD Начали делать раньше всех и закончили, по всей видимости, позже всех, ибо личные проблемы, ну вы знаете как это бывает ;) Так вот... Работать с Галей и Китти было просто шикарно: не только в плане техническом, но и просто в моральном. Если бы не Галя, то я вряд ли бы вообще участвовала в конкурсе - сколько раз она мне давала пинка под зад (вот сейчас например:DD) что-бы я работала. Вообщем с девочками мы подружились Х) Клип... а что клип... сами смотрите Х)

Комментарий автора: Искал я, искал клипы по Soul Eater, но нашел ооочень мало. А раз мало значит надо увеличить их число. Пытался придумать идею, но голова в тот момент не варила. Поэтому просто интересные моменты из аниме неплохо синхронизированные под хорошую музыку. Всем, кому нравится Soul Eater, посвящается! ))

Хотел привести эту работу в пример как самый лучший, с моей точки зрения, клип на KnK, и с удивлением обнаружил, что она отсутствует на этом сайте. Исправляю! Абсолютно нетипичный для автора клип с практически идеальной сочетаемостью музыки и видео, завораживающей атмосферой и отличной подборкой сцен. Если прочувствовать атмосферу — приятные ощущения обеспечены. :)
