you putted 1/100 of the work the studio putted into it. A watermark indicate you have ownership of the content in one way or another, but the real question should be why even have a watermark, when it does nothing but worsen the experience?

ahahahahaha are you for real? If you aren't willing to improve, it is no surprise what you produce aren't better. Lets take an example at ~0:20-21 you are using a scene that are moving in fricking slow motion even thought the music is still high on bpm. So you are right the main problem is you not knowing how to chose the right scenes, instead of just the transition. You did nothing to differentiate yourself.

So I take it is you who made that track? I was even nice enough to say imo, but hey enjoy making terrible music and medicore amv's, I just don't care if you are gonna be an A+ asshole.

Also remove the watermark, you don't own the anime you are using, so you have absolute zero right to use a watermark. Also remember to consider your clipping/transition, since they are really important, which you haven't really thought about. Then there is the standard thing such as using a good song, the one you used at least imo and probably for most was pretty bad, and I even like dubstep

My biggest complain with this video is the actually video quality, which is very easy to fix, just stop using high@L3.1 profile with 1 ref frames, this ended up creating a lot of artifacts at the text, and banding in your source. I guess that might be a limit from using a very old version of Vegas, that you have to use so outdated settings?

This is a joke right? Nobody would enter a competition with something this bad right? he even said it himself it was bad.

I felt like I was watching American idol preliminary rounds. It was like the creator had read a book about what not to do, and then tried to do as many of them as possible.

However if it wasn't a joke, why would you enter a competition, when it is your first video and even you didn't think it was good?

Overall it is pretty good, however there are things you can improve on.
1. You need to work more on finding and using good sources, so you can keep a consistent quality trough the amv, this is especially important when working with multiply anime.
2. You shouldn't have those notes trough out the amv, at the start you already establish to show it is a diary, after that the notes serves more as a distracting especially since they don't blend well with the video.
3. I noticed some places where you could how chosen some other clips that would have fit the scene you were portraying better, but it was better than version 1.

The concept was good, and your editing has improved, you mostly just need more experience.

Song - there is nothing wrong with the song, but this type of AMV need a song that can carry a lot of random scene. This song aren't meant to stand alone, but enhance an experience. (I don't think it was the best song choice, but it can be very subjective answer for each person)
amv - transitions between scenes could use some work, especially if the main point of your amv is the flow.
other - [My intent was far from random] If you put to many subjects and meaning into to a short amv, it is bound to fall apart, and end up becoming random. If you had focused only on one or a few messages/subjects this could have been so much better. The intentions might not have been random, but that is how other people will see it.

This style of amvs pretty much need to be done in 60fps to give it a better flow. The editing was quite good, but as already mentioned, the clip are a bit overused especially for these type of amvs, and the substance if there were any didn't quite get trough to the viewer.

This was pretty bad, and if the author can't handle critic, then don't enter a contest. If you want to be praised no matter how crappy it is, then just upload your amv to youtube.
