You have a very nice sync and flow in this and i like how dynamic your editing is! Though sometimes i felt like it was maybe too dynamic. Especially during some of the calmer parts, less frequent cutting could look better. Like this, the only time the viewer has time to rest his eyes is at the very end, everything inbetween is constantly intense.
Another factor contributing to this is the constant flashing. Flashes are great and i personally also like using them, but they become very tiring, if they're used in every scene. Also a tip! Instead of using the fade in/fade out transition, put a black solid above your clips, turn down the opacity and use the fade in/out on that. That way you can easily control the intensity of your flashes. Basically if you never let the flash go into complete black, it will look a lot smoother and more pleasant to watch!

Overall an enjoyable video though and a big improvement from your last year's amv! c:

Haha yesssss, good, that was the intention, to make people want to play this, so it seems that it worked :DD Let me know what you think of it when you do~ I also really recommend you play the original FF7 too (either before or after the Remake), because it makes the whole thing so much more meaningful and enjoyable. I know it can be painful to look at, but it'll be worth it, haha.

By the way, enjoyed your vid too~~ Made me want to try to get into ff14 again. Shame on me, I have dropped it 3 times, ARR is so slooooow :DDD

I'll definitely give it a try! I want to eventually go through most of the FF games, but that's gonna take years haha.

Also I absolutely get that, ARR is super slow and I honestly don't remember most of what happened at the beginning lol. It picks up later though and gets REALLY GOOD, I promise! :D

The song is not exactly my cup of tea but the atmosphere of adventure, wonder and scale is definitely there and achieved thanks to this track, so well done~

I had FF7 on my list AFTER I finish FF14, but this makes me wanna play it immediately haha

There are plenty of references to the game that people won't get, unless they played it, but I still tried to make the general concept understandable to other people as well.
I focused on lyrics sync as much as I could. Where the song mentions all kinds of battles and events that shaped Europe to what it is today, I applied that same thing to the fictional continent in ffxiv - Eorzea.
I guess it wasn't as clear as I intended, but I can assure you, each scene was carefully picked to match the lyrics as close as possible.
