Well, I wanted the " ennemy " to make a final attack , so impressive that the hero cant even do anything, so I used a kingdom hearts scene, which is for me, one of the most beautiful and powerfull scene that I saw in my life, but here it can represents the power of love, but for someone else it may represents something else. imho You shoud ponder story far better.

You're right, I didnt push through perfection the story, there are a lot of inconsistency but you should take it as a whole, the guy is going to the forgotten castle to save the princess. He made it. There is nothing more to understand. Hope it will lead you to the answer
