Solvent

Author's comment: I didn't even know Houseki no Kuni even existed until a few months ago when I was reading through CrackTheSky's year end retrospective and came across a video called Crack-Up by ObbsessiveBookworm.
I'd heard this song for the first time not long before, but didn't have any plans to make a video with it. But as soon as I saw Crack-Up it clicked and I quickly set about grabbing the series and prepping it the way I usually do in situations like these, which is to say, plan out a video with footage that I've barely seen.
For the most part the editing went quite fast. The only thing that held it up was my constant waffling about how I'd go about doing the brief effect work in the middle of the video. It's been quite awhile since I've used any effect more complicated than a crossfade, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
