Rescue Me.

-Completed on the 9th of December 2011-

A very simple video compared to what I have been working on lately, and you could consider it something I made to get away from all the technical tweaking.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the deadline for "AKROSS Con" with my other video, "Lovesick Missery", due to hospitalization and no way of finishing before the deadline. My AKROSS-project was (or is) a very technically put together video, and something I will not rush to finish. Therefore as a break inbetween the sessions of compositing and animation graphics, some simplicity can be nice as well. However that said video will show itself when the time is right.

On to the real subject, "Loveless". This video was something I made in order to keep myself from going to bed, staying up all night. Why? - Well, let's just leave it at that I had an early appointment approaching and my sleeping habbits didn't quiet agree with it to the fullest. So as you might figure, this was not a very propperly planned video, as of rather a spontanious "cut'n'place clip"-mayham.

The video source was picked out of whatever I could find (already lossless prepared) on my harddrive that I yet hadn't made into a full AMV. As for the audio source, it's a song I have wanted to make a video to since long back.

After about 5 hours of work, the video was in a complete state - with some exceptions for a few blanks - and it was time to "dress it". I chose to continue to spin away on the Anime's Film-Grain effect, but give it a more tastefull look, blending it with some lighting and masks.
The play of colors were also taken into consideration as the production of effects landed on the video I had made. And out of creative impulses some transition creation was put into thought too. This process went very smoothly and was completed in the matter of 3 hours.

Though I ran into some technical issues regarding the video source-material, which is why this was completely exported on the nineth and not earlier, and took a few weeks before appearing in it's imperfect but viewable 480p quality form. Please bear with me.

Комментарий автора: Done in three days to Soul's Team Iron Chef VIII. I tried to create an alternative story to the movie by creating a kind of unrequited love between the protagonists of the AMV which will be resolved in the awareness of Kyon.

Between working on this and my AMV France contest entry I think I only has a total of 5-6 hours of sleep since Friday. Epic and fun times. :P

NightSlayer (novice): Вот и мой первый ЛА, да и вообще первый кон на amvnews, чему конечно я благодарен Зевсу. Такое МВ было запланировано давно, но из за нехватки опыта не хотелось портить песню и исходник. В начале клип делался без сюжета просто пересказ аниме, в итоге так сложилось, что из рандомных кадров начал появляться сюжет. Ну и на последок очень нравится работать с Зевсом хорошо всё объясняет без каких-нибудь умных фраз и прочего. Приятного просмотра.

ZEVS1993 (pro): Скромно ка-кто Слеер, ну да ладно. Первый раз я в роли ПРО... Было интересно. Ну и конечно же чувствовалась большая ответственность... А вдруг я что то не то ему сказал, а вдруг у меня не получится быть про :(... Но все оказалось не так, судя по тому что у нас получилось, я справился как и Найтслеер) Работать с ним было большим удовольствием, такого еще легкого бета тестирования как с ним я не проводил, всего лишь парочка недочетов, которые в итоге были исправлены. Надеюсь на тебя и в дальнейшем, Слеер, надеюсь поладим!. С прошлого его конкурса в вконтакте, виден его сильный рост, чему я искренне рад, думаю как и он сам) Плюс ко всему, оказалось так что у моего новайса схожие вкусы в амв с моими, к примеру вот этот клип. Романтика, сентиментал все как надо) Ну и конечно же мааааленькая стори, которая тут большую роль не играет, в первую очередь в клипе присутствует в большом количестве упор на м/в и атмосферу, думаю некоторые поплачут от души, так сказать) На этой скромной ноте я заканчиваю свой комментарий, а то чувствую что целую книгу смогу написать... =_= Вам же желаю приятного просмотра.

Комментарий автора: I think it's the best Lipsynch I have done so far. Also I tried to put a little choreo in it so that not only the lips match perfectly but also the boys movements fit the song. Try to put attention to that :3

I experienced so far that the video especially is popular with girls. But if you are a boy I think you could also like it. And I experienced that some people think that it is gay. Maybe it is... but just a little bit!!

Комментарий автора: Steins;Gate was amazing. Definitely anime of the year for me. It had everything I wanted from a series: interesting characters, comedy, drama, GREAT story .... so I just couldn't resist this project. So about what is this AMV? Good question .... it's about ...... LOVE, PASSION AND SCIENCE (and me having good time). But really now, I wanted to make an AMV out of this anime before we get flooded with drama stuff. Steins;Gate got its share of a drama side to it but it is also a fun series and I wanted to show that. Kurisu and Okarin are a dynamic duo that reminds me a bit of Holo and Lawrence from Spice & Wolf.

So yeah, believe it or not, this IS a romance AMV ..... romance by Crossfade that is.

I wanted to have fun editing and toy a bit with the viewer at the same time. AMV is sometimes random but within limits of SCIENCE. The dynamic duo is supported by a great cast of characters from Evangelion, Nichijou and even Back to the future! There are a lot of "hidden" stuff throughout the whole AMV so don't be shy to pause it from time to time :3.

Да, описание клипа все то же, каким и было, но не сам клип. Он создан с нуля в HD качестве, некоторые моменты новые, некоторые поменялись, но основа осталась все та же. Желаю приятного просмотра.

Комментарий автора: I ended up making this for a Youtube music video contest that was cohosted by the Terra Naomi herself. The other host was really into lip sync stuff so I decided to do lip sync and model the video similar to the official music video.

It was the only AMV in the contest and it managed to finish in the top 10 (7th overall)

But for me, I had a great time editing it since the anime and the song were so cute and I love cute things. ^__^ I know not everybody is going to enjoy this type of AMV but for those who do, I'm happy.
