This was an idea I've had for quite some time. I felt the song carried a strong emotional meaning that reflected the themes of the film perfectly. It seemed too good of a match, so I finally decided to get to work. The original concept was much simpler and the video was going to be a lot more straight forward. As I continued to work though, I realized there was more I wanted to do.



My ultimate goal was to create a music video that presented the story of the film in such a way that those who had never seen it would understand the emotions behind it. I really wanted to craft something that would resonate with people. This led me to creating specific sequences to showcase the passage of time and memoires left behind.



This required me to fall back on what has sort of become a trope for me, a film-like presentation (Such as a change of aspect ratio). While I admit it's become a little repetitive in my works, I felt it was necessary here to help present more of the relationship between the two leads. I believe this type of presentation can create a natural feeling of nostalgia and melancholy, which were key in conveying both the story and emotional connection I was attempting to craft.



I'm happy with the finished product and am glad that I was finally able to pair this film and song together. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did making it.

Theme:
The everyday life is often gray, oppressive, and monotonous due to the given circumstances. Children and creative individuals escape into relaxing, joyful, life-affirming fantasy worlds in their thoughts. It's a getaway from reality, constraints, and conformity. Some discover themselves in the process, becoming less lonely and more empowered in real life.

"Onirica" is derived from the word "oneiric," which relates to dreams or resembling a dream. It is often used to describe something dreamlike, fantastical, or related to dreams and imagination. In your provided text, the term "Fantasiewelten" could be translated as "dream worlds" or "fantasy realms," which aligns with the concept of "Onirica."

Making of notes:
AI technology came in fast in 2022 and for me personally it was clear, that my next main project needs to revolve around this exciting technology. However at it turns out things are developing fast and are getting tiresome. I remember a time, when Bard, ChatGPT-4 and Midijourney 5 were announced right at the same times. Keeping up with burned me out. You need a full time job on this and maybe even then you only specialize in one area. Also when a lot of the smaller tasks get done by AI, you are left with all the creative work. Constantly being creative and original burns you out, while at the same time you sometimes battle with errors and bad images, that AI gives you.

That's why I felt it was time to try out my first collab between AMV editors, after a raw cut was finished. I joined up with my coworker Arcothy to battle this challenge together. This was probably the best choice for this input. Together there were enough creative power to pull this off. Also we added up pretty nicely. The cut got better, the scene selection more interesting and there were great ideas on how to implement AI into pictures. Refining effects, masks and scenes got more important as well. We worked together via Adobe Cloud Team Projects, which was not as smooth as we first thought, but after a bumpy start it was alright.

So what's left was to get AI work in anime and video. Of course there are possible DeForum animation videos, but they were not easily to control and will always have that certain look to them. Runway was at Gen-1 stage and the costs for AI video generation were simply too high and too gimmicky. What's left were still image generation and implementing them in video. StableDiffussion with the use of different AI models and LORAs gave pleasing results. I felt we had more control over things in comparison to MidJourney or Firefly. Arcothy made it work via Ebsynth or Adobe Generative Fills and I often took the time to give it a well touch up in After Effects or Premiere Pro.

What I really enjoyed was applying abstract Color via ControlNet to scenes. Some scenes turned out really good. Others need lot's of prework with masks, tracking or color layers. The use of various overlay techniques and stock videos helped integrating the images a lot! This and Adobe Generative Fill will highly return in my future projects.
The crazy thing about the technology is, that everything is so fast. A few months later things would look differently, because tech improved or new workflows came out. I hope that this video will not look too dated. Only time will tell. AMVs can be truly timeless works, but this will probably not be one of them.

This was one of my quicker edits, though the concept I had in mind for the video didn't really call for anything to complicated. I wanted to create something that felt simple, yet a bit unique at the same time. I originally had this uploaded only to YouTube since I didn't quite feel it was worth uploading here. That said, over time it's grown on me. Perhaps it's my fondness for the song, the anime, or simply just the two combined together. I've decided that I finally add it here in case anyone wanted to download it or view it for the first time.
Regardless, I hope you all find at least some enjoyment from it.

Всем привет:) Моя первая работа для конкурса AMV. Может быть много ошибок, но надеюсь что продолжать обучаться и пробовать себя в этой теме дальше.
Идея для этого AMV пришла в начале февраля ещё до того как я узнал о Big Contest 2023. Планировал сделать AMVmix, под песню 5 Seconds of Summer - BLENDER, как в итоге в начале с аниме "Госпожа Кагуя: в любви как на войне" и как после само пошло. В конце концов получился микс ток с одного аниме :D
К сожалению последствия заметны, очень поздно осознал что нет продуманной конструкции или напросто плана. Также и работа с эффектами местами излишня.
Получилось сумбурно. Буду в следующий раз исправляться)) Спасибо за внимание!

I use Movavi Editor 4 Mac version (Equivalent to 16 pc Version) to edit the video. I know I overdo it on the screenshots but even though I tell myself am going to do less it never happens. I decided to submit this as a second one because it was simple and even though I love how it was done when I open the document for the most part there was likely six cuts in the whole project even if there were timed well and very heavily use of the sailor Moon r opening. at least those problems existed when I wrote this description which was the day before Final edits but even though the base is still the same more detailed edits have occurred since then. A lot of the cuts are based off of the cyber 6 op in terms of the transformation choices and the running but i did put my spin on it. some of the transformations were not even 'found' until earlier this year. (that pinkish boot in 3d were from the 'English' pilot.)) I also added some romance scenes to fit the song nicer. this is probably will be one of my biggest attempt of romance which I am proud of and also doubles as a character study.

this is also the first video I use the background remover on purpose. (I did it on accident on a unsubmitted video from before I did contests and was never able to figure out how that happened until recently.) with the slow walking scenes involving a lot of layering. o techman blade was the rose petal on the black background.

if you are wondering why such a thing was made. I only vaguely remember making this amv. (I remember being called out for dinner when doing the queen scene though it was after the other sailor Moon ones were made.) but if I remember correctly I made this one as a spare just in case I cannot find or work out how to make a different video without the bars. (there was a point in which I did not know you could change the dimensions on the video editor as silly as that might sound.) and because the running scene look similar to the opening of the show the song came from. I also sometimes put other music on top of openings just to see but never to submit so it likely began as that which was likely where the base to expand this project came from. though weirdly enough this one might be more understandable than the main entry since I have did a few more cuts and made it my own and hopefully people will enjoy it along with my other complex video being submitted.
