Комментарий автора: This has been a rather slow year for me on the AMV front and for that I apologize. I had all these big plans for new comedy videos for Otakon and such, and then I got a job in the industry, had to move back to LA and lost about half of my year (not that I am complaining lol ). I really wanted to get my act together for AWA Pro though, and so I made this video in a few weeks. Unfortunately I ran out of time and the version I submitted to Pro was a little less polished than I wanted it to be. But as soon as I got back I cleaned it up. And that's the version you see here. I really wanted to try tackling the romance genre again as I was unhappy with what I achieved with Maybe. Since this was the first AMV I have done in premiere that hasn't been under a crazy tight deadline I really wanted to explore the dynamic link between Premiere and After Effects, and experiment with motion and FXs to find the perfect balance between too crazy and just crazy enough. I think I succeeded and I am really proud of this video as a whole. I have a few more videos up my sleeve for the end of the year, and lots planned for next! Thanks for Watching!!

Комментарий автора: Such an original title. :D My goodness, it's been so long since I last edited. DX Though I am super proud of myself for finishing it in 72 hours. P.S. I'm late in uploading this cause I went back and fixed up some dodgy masks/camera movements/lip flap/bad quality scenes (except there's still like 34857345 glitches I can no longer be bothered to fix - just pretend you can't see them) and also added a few touchups. I started this around November 2014 (actually I had a different video idea a month prior), and it has been quite a journey with this one. Fun fact - my daughter Mae was not even born yet when I started this. How things change. :P
In 2014, I was getting back into watching anime and had joined the Quickening contest to shake off some editing rust. I quite enjoyed the process again, so I wanted to make a full video on my own once more. I saw this show called 'Baka and Test' (which seems pretty underused actually), and loved it. I wanted to make a quick and fun video (sounds familiar...). My wife Grace had always been listening to k-pop so I've been pretty bombarded by it for many years now. I asked to see if she could find me a fun song to edit with. Watching the Youtube show 'EatYourKimchi,' she found this song for me called Telepathy by Girl's Day. I was pretty excited to start my video with it. As I started the prepwork for editing, I decided to listen to other Girl's Day songs just for background music..... and then Female President came on. I was hooked.
So, a crazy idea came into my head to recreate the actual dance version of the music video...

Hello everyone. Long time I haven't edit anything, because I was in school to learn editing so I didn'tt really have the time to make an AMV. So now that I finished school, I'm back to present my new AMV: Depression. The idea of ​​the clip came when I watched the anime Charlotte episode 7, and it really inspired me to make a AMV and as MIX CON took place at that time I wanted to try something. The concept was to feel the depression of the main character sinking slowly into delinquency because he lives only for himself and there is no one on who he can count. Fortunately, he will find that person, and this person will tell him that "he is not alone". I know how the depression feels, i already had it 3 years ago and i wanted to make the feelings of how you feel when you are in depression by the color "blue dark" that i think its representative of the depression.
The choice of the music was done fairly quickly, as I really like the music of ATO X EDEN I opted for music "Space", which speaks enough of the feelings ATO wants to share. Obviously that this is rap, adapted to the words is difficult, however, we must not take this in the directly way but thinking and say that the rapper tells what he thinks in general. So we must say that in my AMV the main protagonist is the one who "thinks" and not the rapper. I guess thats all.
