The 2016 Viewer's Choice Awards announced. The schedule of events is as follows: 

•  Nomination voting: February 14th - February 27st
•  Semifinal voting: February 28th– March 12
•  Final Voting: March 13th - March 23rd
•  Winners announced: after March 23rd

If you released any videos during 2015, they are most likely eligible for entry in the VCAs. Please head over to the Eligibility Page to make sure you're not disqualified! The deadline for clearing up eligibility issues is February 14th, 2016. If you're not cleared by then, then you will not be able to participate this year - so don't forget to make your fixes!

Комментарий авторов: Xophilarus - Yay! We did a collab thing ^.^ We made this for Sakuracon, and after the deadline we spent about a week tweaking it so here it it! This is our first srs collab since Final Spark, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Shin- Xophi and I have been in a Of Monsters and Men kick lately so we ended up editing with one of their songs to FMA together.

Недавно анонсированный масштабный AMV-проект One Hundred Editor’s MEP 2016 уже стартует и реализовывается! На данный момент мы набрали сотню мейкеров и определились с музыкой и концепцией MEP’а посредством общего голосования среди участников. Мы отобрали самые популярные из предложенных участниками треков и сделали из них микс, который впоследствии разделили среди 9-ти команд, у каждой из которых есть свой координатор. Каждая команда совместно со своим координатором сама принимает решение о содержании своей части MEP’a на основе личных предпочтений и доставшегося им трека. Вы всё еще можете записаться в участники. Зарегистрированные участники, которые еще не выбрали себе участок микса для работы – поторопитесь! Вы можете взять себе свободный участок длиной от 6 до 40 секунд.
Также мы планируем расширить тайминг, чтобы выделить работу всем уже записавшимся. Так что вы сможете принять участие в проекте, даже если опоздали. Нам также требуются грамотные бетатестеры и технические консультанты для помощи новайсам. Ориентировочный дедлайн - начало демонстрации клипов BIGcontest 2016

Планируемые технические характеристики: конечный проект будет в формате 1920х1080 60 FPS, но участники могут делать свои кусочки и в любом другом формате. При условии, что они передадут все использовавшиеся исходники, JOBlisты из виртуалдаба и любые другие материалы своего проекта, вместе с сейвами из редакторов, для последующей обработки их координаторами MEPa, ответственными за финальную сборку. Мы поставили очень высокую техническую планку, поэтому постарайтесь реализоваться в своих работах по-максимуму! Крайне рекомендуем перед началом работ ознакомиться с разделом "Статьи" на сайте AMVnews.ru, заглянуть там же на форум, а также в нашу техническую группу:  в ней мы выкладываем статьи технического характера и видеотуториалы, имеющие непосредственное отношение к нашему проекту.

Sunlight says: After 3 months of hard work we're glad to finally be able to present this project.
So about 9 months ago me and Danilo (gabberMD) decided we wanted to collaborate.. at first we were planning a simple IC, though it was canceled as neither of us had time. The same happened 6-7 months ago when we decided to join Japan Expo; I had important exams and Dani was very far from editing at that time. And finally 4 months ago we had a chance to start working! So I started thinking about story and anime, we've never made crossovers and I thought it would be cool to try something new. We started searching for scenes, characters, etc. After long research I found the perfect song, it was pretty rare and cool and also helped us with conveying the story! I want to say that it was a very interesting and fun experience. We've learned so much from each other and I think our combination of skills were perfect for a crossover even though as I said we had never given it a shot before :D This time it was quite a big project with a lot of new ideas and difficult scenes to create. We wanted to make something new and original that nobody has made before. I think we did great with altering scenes and colours of clothing and hair, and recreating backgrounds with different objects, lights and shadows. It was a very good experience, though we also had a lot of problems because my computer was always crashing (bluescreen), and sometimes our ideas about scenes were different or clashed, and because of this we had couple fights but we're glad that it ended well and compromise was found. I don't want to talk too much about the story as I'm sure everyone will understand it well. Just one note is to look at the dates, they're purposeful and will help you better understand!

gabberMD says: Like Nikala (Sunlight) said finally after so long time we were able to make our first collab together. It was funny and there were some difficult decisions, but we made it in the end and I think came out pretty good. So yeah I wanted to talk about manipulations that we made it was problem with some scenes because almost every scene characters had different clothes and i changed them (jackets, shoes etc) and this was my first time that I applied my Photoshop knowledge into a video! was a bit tedious to edit stuff frame by frame but I'm really happy with the result! Well Nikala pretty much said the rest =) We want to thank Fury, ItsAvient and other cool people for helping us with some stuff.. you guys rock! So yeah, we hope you will enjoy, and happy viewing!
