Shura means from what I can tell 'endless battle' to put it simply. I found the concert fitting for my amv with the main characters struggle. I am referring to the Japanese word. I wish that after finding the song Shura ni Otoshite by sajou no hana from a Japanese music show that airs here J-Melo.

okay I made the credits for crea con back in 2021. this is not a repeat video, this is a premier but since the subtitles are made for that I could not change the size of the beginning credits. 5 seconds is way too short. really the credits were made because I had two videos (yes I use this song a lot) and transitions will make it confusing and I might screw it up so it is made for practical reasons. I am not trying to get a award for good credits I just hope you watch it past the credits. The only skill this reflects is that I am not the best at fixing subtitles.

this is basically about Ben, the main character learning the troubles of the world as the 'hero'. he finds out being an 'hero' requires a lot of sacrifice including the members of his family which get dragged into it. that is not to say that a specific member was ignorant to begin with. I have probably 3 pages of explanations on why it is what it is but before we even get into that this video is a combo of a video that was made back in 2018 and extra scenes that is a mix of stuff that was saved from the 'big wipe' and stuff I got this month.

I really was originally only going to edit the last verse until I saw how much of the first verse was mostly scenes from him getting the watch done artfully. anyhow any added episode 1 clips came from different sources the version I had when I made this back then is gone from what I can tell. I am proud of this I am aware of the flaws a lot of this was done when I only had a year of experience instead of my current 6 to 7 years. I was 16 at the time. I am cutting up a amv I did back in 2018 with an already existing soundtrack and sound effects in an editor and putting new scenes in between the existing scenes and retiming the clips that I put in the old version to try to keep the sound effects matching to an extent the video. Granted this is not just the music, all of the sound vocal tracks and folly from the tv show is also connected to the song track. this means that not everything will match even from the tv show because the tv show was edited since the save in which the track became permanent. If I had an extra two days I would remove the track from the ending which suffer is the worst because at that time (2018) I literally just stuck random clips towards the end that I loved but did not make the final cut in the middle, some of which I moved. but the contests have been getting stricter with following a specific time zone than they used to so I cannot I just stay up to 5 in the morning hoping for the best since my time zone is basically a day behind. of course all of this is mostly because the big con takes itself seriously so I know any edit will be looked at very closely everything but this one is done with quality just not perfection.

The moment I heard The Gates of Disorder by Gunship and read the lyrics, I knew immediately I would be making a Sousou no Frieren AMV with this song! The lyrics really fit Frieren's attitude to Himmel perfectly - a marriage made in heaven! The AMV itself is kind of a slow burner in the beginning but gets more action-packed in the second half, so feel free to skip to that part if you aren't into watching 'slow' scenes. This AMV also features some voiced scenes with short phrases and dialogues in Japanese from the anime, just in order to highlight how Frieren gets to meet different humans throughout the years and how they impact her personality. So this AMV is a bit of a trailer for the series, too, with an ending that hasn't been shown in the anime, though. Hope you'll enjoy it and looking forward to your feedback!

(in terms of the spoilers I do not think there's any big but I only watched up to around ep16 on disk (I forgot the numbering) , I put minor but proceed with caution)
I use movavi (same edition as always) and macbook air 2014, my storyline focuses on the character recounting his life which he is evaluating. how each thing leads to another which he keeps trying to move to the next thing but keeps hitting problems that he has to figure out no matter how many time he goes through it. he tries to battle to get back the past things he wishes but the moment he tries to grab it it flies away again. even though I will say these clips moved a lot all over the places from the draft 1 to 7 it still had the right topic of evaluating the past from the present.

Granted I know I have to discuss the obvious unique thing about this video. (English has a expressions elephant in the room elephant for the concept, not sure that the equivalent) I have a feeling I am probably the first person at least in the last 6, 7 years (if ever) that has actually chosen the use someone else's video and credit it option. this began when I was other looking for videos with this song new disease and saw a amv for this character on animated music video .org that was not good at all. I thought that I could even do a better video with this different video that I also thought was not the best on the same character as the other video. I think I succeeded at least compare to that video. this is not a I 'ripped off this video and added to 3 scenes' different without changing the order of said scenes, this is my own video that uses scenes made from another person's video. granted once I knew I was going to enter this into the contest this year I spent 5 days making it more my own. I try not to make everything a fight scene and focussed on personal scenes but still have enough action to keep it going, that was difficult to balance definitely as I found new clips.

some areas have a different aspect ratio but that is artistic intent of a 'ribbon effect' for drama. I fixed all of the ones that were wrong by cropping and stretching. I also forwarded one of the battles had a worn tape word out effect that I think worked well. if you can ignore the shortfalls that came with this video from the source I think it is very nice to watch. Quick note about the credits. I tried particularly for the end ones to increase the quality, I spent 4 hours on those end credits trying to work the program in the end I had to just use a screen share option on the PowerPoint and I did not get the margins perfect between the two slides. I know I am a joke and I heard a few people think I was making fun of the contest because of the credits so I really want to be clear I am not an animator I am an editor only.

also the subtitles are done by ear I think I did a good job finding where the lyrics ended and began but I am only human so they will likely be some human error by a few milliseconds. but you know how the saying goes ,better than nothing. do have to thank Artofeel for suggesting the program that made the subtitles, it worked nicely.

Just a celebration of the awesome animation in the videogame DAVE THE DIVER. This won the "Omakase"-Award (Coordinator Choice) at the RICE 2024 online video contest. I had a total of 24 minutes of cutscenes to work with. There just were no clips for proper character introduction and stuff. Just sit back and enjoy the crazy show.
