AMVNews.ru announces the annual spring AMV competition - Big Contest 2015. We welcome creators from all over the world to join us with any kind of AMVs. Remember, that contest entries should be exclusive, i.e the contest video can't be published online before the premiere at AMVNews. Participants can register via on-line form, registration is opened till the submission deadline for those who have the site account. Videos can be submitted from April 20th till May 20th, 2015.

Prize fund
1 place – 5000 roubles + statuette
2 place – 4000 roubles + statuette
3 place – 3000 roubles + statuette
4 place – 2000 roubles + statuette
5 place – 1000 roubles + statuette

Организаторы белорусского фестиваля Аматерасу-2015 приглашают всех желающих принять участие в конкурсе AMV в рамках фестиваля.

К участию принимаются клипы, созданные после 1 января 2015 года, не занимавшие призовые места в других конкурсах аналогичной направленности.

Заявки на конкурс принимаются с 10 марта 2015 по 20 апреля 2015. Из присланых заявок будут отобраны 10 клипов  для показа на фестивале. 

В конкурсе две номинации: 
- Гран-при (выбор жюри) 
- Приз зрительских симпатий

After last year, I really wanted to try this IC again. I did OK in 2014, but ultimately never having done an IC in such a limited amount of time showed in my final product. It was rushed and yea, I went a little crazy on the motion. This year, I'm much more satisfied with my video. I marathoned Shinsekai Yori in the days leading up to the IC, and created a video that illustrates what the series means to me. If you haven't seen it yet, you must. It has a stellar story and is no doubt one of the best shows I have seen in years. Ask yourself, what would happen to our world if a small part of the population was granted immense power, heedless of personal ethics or control? What methods would have to be constructed to ensure a "safe" and "prosperous" future, when every human is a potential lethal weapon? Live in captivity, or die with freedom. What choice will you make?

 A new version of encoding utility Baka Encoder v1.3.3 is up. Quite a lot of features have been added since the last update:

• Added encoding with x265, a video codec of new generation (shows excellent results on anime sources). Still it's better not to upload such files to AMVNews because online preview player does not support x265.
• User interface updated, errors fixed.
• All codecs updated to the last versions.
• A couple of new languages added (Japanese and Chinese).
• Presets system updated (losseles encoding is one of default presets now).
• Colorspace transformations for RGB are more effective now (~4% more effective than via AviSynth) (details)

Author's comment: Just a quick random action/drama video with overused scenes. I just wanted to make one of these for a while now. I made this for a compettion that was going to be held in my country but I ended up not participating, still I kinda finished the video... Hope you enjoy.

Author's comment: Well, its been a while since my last upload.... Which is something I think I say on every video but i'm hoping to change that. I have been spending more time and effort on my videos to increase the overall quality. I'm currently working on three more so im hoping to have less of gap between uploads.
