Ассоциация Анимеклипмейкеров России АКРОСС в очередной раз приглашает всех желающих принять участие в международном конкурсе AMV клипов "AKROSS Con 2014", который пройдёт на сайте Ассоциации с октября 2014 по январь 2015 года.

Ознакомиться с основными положениями и зарегистрироваться для участия можно на главной странице конкурса. Крайний срок для регистрации - 15 декабря. Крайний срок для предоставления клипа (ориентировочно) - 20 декабря.

Обсудить ход  конкурса можно на официальном форуме мероприятия.

Клип делался для участия во втором раунде орговского конкурса Team Warfare 2014.

Комментарий автора: Doing a video like this has been rolling around my head for a few months now, It all started with an idea to make something "trippy and comedic" then went on to be "a spooky instrumental" then I thought it should be "bloody and disturbing" just because I've never done anything like that before. It eventually became something that had all of that rolled into one.

After looking everywhere for the right type of music I changed my mind on it several times. Then one day I guess I was looking at some old videos that got me into this amv stuff in the first place and rewatched Naruto's Technique Beat, I just happened to be curious about the music and found out it was made for the Resident Evil movie soundtrack, so now I see the potential the song has as horror music-- AND it contained no lyrics which was just what I was looking for.

The intensity of the music made room for a more action feel, which is what I'm use to editing with anyway - and that brings me to say I purposely went nuts on the effects, more than usual, but I think I have a better grip on it now and it's not as messy.

I don't know how offensive some people might find some of the scenes on this but I feel like I need to give some sort of disclaimer.. it's really not that bad, it's all brief, but the main things are: blood (which I actually darkened to not make it look so violent), self harm, broken bones, people being eaten, implications of seizing and unwanted touching, general body horror-but nothing too bad I hope.

The theme of the maniacal smile came up while I was editing and I noticed how there's aLOT of creepy smiles in anime sometimes a smile goes into laughter which at that point just becomes madness, hence maniacal.

Закончилось голосование 1 тура конкурса Free Zone 2014. В голосовании приняло участие 53 человека. Во втором туре голосования примут участие все те же члены жюри что и в первом туре. Голосование в этом году полностью добровольное. Форма для голосования в этом году требует от жюри заполнения всех мест. Голосование второго тура завершится в четверг 23 октября в 20-00 вечера по Москве. Списки финалистов во всех пяти номинациях приведены ниже в порядке публикации клипов на сайте.

Комментарий автора: This was one of my entries into this year's AWA Pro Contest; where it won Best Comedy. Essentially, this is a comedic character profile of the character Aikuro from Kill La Kill. This video came about the day after discussing the character Aikuro with my friend Stephanie (who's obsessed with him). I was at work and had the bassline from Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" stuck in my head, although I couldn't remember what the song was at the time. About an hour later it dawned on me what the song was and I immediately put the song together with Aikuro in my head, thinking I had to make this video. The combination seemed to fit too well not to. After getting an enthusiastic endorsement from my friend, I went out and made this video.

Комментарий автора: I started this a while back for a 3 day Iron Chef thing and had only about 2 minutes of it done at the time. I ended up wanting to watch Chihayafuru more and kind of put it off to the side for awhile. I came back to it later once I realized I wouldn't get the other video I was working on done in time for Anime Weekend Atalant and took another 3-4 days to finish this and clean it up a little.
In some ways I wanted to work on it more, but I just couldn't get motivated and wanted to move onto other projects. I really like Chihayafuru and kind of want to do another video with it though.
