 A new AMVNews summer contest is being discussed at the forum, and we invite everyone to join the discussion.

Main points:

1) No restrictions on theme or genre
2) Contest deadline is September the 1st
3) Non-exclusive videos created in 2013 and later are eligible for participation (although you'll have to add the contest title and site address, amvnews.ru to the video)
4) Contest video must be absent in our database (site admins add videos of well-know creators sometimes so if you decide to enter non-exclusive video and do not want any "spoilers" you'd better upload it well in advance)
5) Submission of videos starts right after the end of Big Contest 2014.
6) Contest nominations: "Best exclusive video", "Best non-exclusive video", "Best video of Russian-speaking author", "Best video of foreign author".
7) The rest of the rules is to be based on Big Contest starndart rules.

Big Contest 2014 first round voting is over. 79 persons took part in the voting, 37 videos passed to the second round in main nomination. To pass to the finals a video should have gathered no less than 12 votes. 38 contest participants whose videos are nominated in at least one category and 30 members of specially selected jury are eligible for voting in the finals. This year the voting is totally voluntary. You must fill in all slots when filling in the voting form. Voting deadline is June 21st, 11.00 Moscow time (UTC+4). See below the list of finalists in all nominations, ranged by publication date..

Началась регистрация на конкурс короткометражных видеоклипов в рамках крупнейшего южнороссийского фестиваля Танибата-2014 (пройдет в Ростове-на-Дону 12-13 июЛя). Зарегистрироваться можно здесь.

Кроме того, в честь юбилея Танибаты все победители могут рассчитывать на эксклюзивные медали. А один из авторов - на дополнительный приз от оргкомитета.  

Напоминаем, что к конкурсу допускаются как AMV, так и работы на другие исходники (игры, популярные фильмы и сериалы). Рекомендованная длительность работ составляет от 10 до 60 секунд. Можно присылать непремьерные  клипы с незначительными ограничениями.

We begin first round voting of AMVNews: Big Contest 2014. 88 videos took part in the contest. 10 contest videos rated lower than 3 points were excluded from voting. All 78 contest participants whose AMVs are eligible for the first round can take part in the voting now, as well as 30 jury members (Arma, TritioAFB, redbull, maxximm, Daru, NewOvermind, GINBR:), pic4arts, @LEKSEI, Shinzo, MrStarrk, Alisa777, Aine, tino4ka, Leonifa, miyase, Theredflash66, Artofeel, Lady_MooN, Canbyaboy, MigeL, leon.by, MIBIHA, Avelinka, B@rs, Umika, Leberate, tamriko, KG7x, Turbo). Voting in first round is totally voluntary.
There are 16 contest nominations to vote in. Some of those include all videos, others include only the videos which match the nomination thematically. Finalists in each nomination will be chosen during first round voting.
First round voting ends June 17th, 12-00 Moscow time (UTC+4). 
Link for voting form can be found in "Authorization" block, right upper corner of the webpage. You can fill in the form, add and change anything as much as you want till the end of voting period. Contest participants do not see their own videos in the list and can't vote for them.

Четвертый ежегодный аниме-фестиваль «Natsu Nami» пройдет 19-20 июля в городе Одесса. В рамках фестиваля будет проведен конкурс АМВ для всех желающих. К участию допускаются клипы, созданные не позднее 2013 года и ранее не занимавшие призовых мест на каких-либо конкурсах. Каждый участник может представить до 3 конкурсных работ.
Заявки на конкурс принимаются с 1 июня до 1 июля 2014 года.

Приглашаем всех желающих принять участие в конкурсе короткометражных видеоклипов, который пройдет в рамках фестиваля. Рекомендованная длительность работ от 10 до 60 секунд. В качестве исходников могут выступать практически любые материалы (аниме, игры, популярные фильмы и сериалы). На конкурс принимаются непремьерные работы с незначительными ограничениями. Победителей ожидают призы!

Уважаемые клипмейкеры! Приглашаем вас на VII Фестиваль "Тя-но-ю", который пройдёт 7-8 июня 2014 года в СДК МАИ (Москва, ул. Дубосековская, 4а/1 зал - 1250 сидячих мест). Тема 7-го фестиваля - ретро! 

Общая концепция фестиваля - "чайная церемония". Не столько как распитие чая, сколько как создание приятного настроения для участников и зрителей. Поэтому шоу-программа фестиваля состоит из настроенческих разделов с чайными названиями: романтический "Индийский чай", боевой "Русский чай", трагические "Угли из сакуры", сюрреалистическое "Безумное чаепитие", современно-бытовой "Чайный пакетик", чопорный "Файв-о-клок" и "Ассорти" для тех номеров, чьё настроение трудно отнести к какому-то одному.

Orgs of various contests frequently ask how to publish a contest announcement on AMVNews front page. Here's a small how-to instruction in several steps:

1. Make a topic with contest description and rules in "Other contests" branch of our forum. Add contest posters and banners if possible, those are needed for presentation on main page.
2. Add AMVNews logo with link to our site on your contest webpage (either in media sponsors section or directly in contest rules). Logo available here.
3. Contact Minstrel or Turbo via private message and ask for announcement on main page.
4. When the contest is over, post the results in your contest topic on our forum. In case of violation of this point you won't be allowed to post the contest announcement next year. 

Note: Sometimes news can be published without a PM to site admins (paragraph 3) because the administration checks the section "Other contests" and sometimes makes announcements about new contests at the front page. Administration can  refuse to publish the announcement without explanation.

EvaFest, необычный тематический аниме-фестиваль, посвящённый аниме “Neon Genesis Evangelion”, пройдет в Санкт-Петербурге в ночь с 31 мая на 1 июня 2014 (23:50-06:00). На фестивале проводится конкурс тематических AMV, созданных на основе аниме, манги и видеоигр "Евангелион". Клипы будут показаны на большом экране. Конкурсные работы принимаются до 24 мая.

AMV France and Japan Expo invite you to take part in annual AMV contest Japan Expo 2014. The contest is open for everyone, one AMV per participant. Remember, that only exclusive videos are good for Japan Expo! Submission deadline in June 1st, 2014, you can fill in the form first and upload your video later. Results will be announced at Japan Expo convent (July 2nd - July 6th), and various prizes are waiting for winners.
