I didn't, I just used the blu-ray source. The original DVD has that bluish look (the one Tsukin used back in the day), and since he didn't change the colors of the sources he used, he wouldn't do that here either, I assumed. But the idea of "faking" that bluish look crossed my mind. Oh and Thank you!

I'm not sure if google translator is correct, but many seem to find the use of Hellsing Ultimate a bummer. But let me explain, I tried to use the TV series (which has a few great scenes), but the end result of the images was not great at all, and a few of the scenes are from the Trailer only, so I had to make a decision and use the OVAs.

And I can tell you which scenes I think it looks better from Hellsing TV:
-At the start, the ascending moon through the window and coffin moonlight are definitely more suitable in the Original AMV.
-The zoom out of the weapon at 3:18, it is way more awesome in the Original
-At 0:55, in the original she is licking a sword, a much more phallic and cool object ^^
-The small fight at 3:44 to 3:46.
-The scream of Alucard at 5:06 looks cooler in the original with the white glow on his hair.
-The descending moon through the window at the end, like the start, it is much more fitting.

But there are scenes that I think they definitly look better with OVAs
-0:17 the Alucard is moving slowly towards the camera and it combines pretty well with the passing shadow of the next scene from Blood the Last Vampire
-0:26 The black dust and red eyes from Alucard matches much better with the darker tones of the metro red lights
-1:37 - 1:40 I really like his smile on those scenes with small clips of the police looking at him.
-2:46-2:54 I think it looks better than showing a car approaching, but his seated position looks cool in both.
-4:57-4:59 Way better, with the matching color tones of the previous Ninja Scroll scene and the "roaring" wolf.

All the other scenes, I have mixed feelings.

Dude! I remember you! Didn't you have a Scryed AMV with Reveille as well? I can't seem to find it here. I use to watch Condemned Memoir, Bladebeat Graffiti and that Scryed AMV quite often.

I made this AMV exactly one year ago, for my own amusement, and I kinda felt the same way. I knew that this community wasn't going to receive it with open arms as well, so I decided to keep it and let it sink. After one year working abroad, I returned to this PC, connected to Battle.net and saw Starcraft Remastered and decided "the hell with it unleash it to the toughest critics", you guys. ^^

(I have to use google translator, sorry if I misinterpret) I believe that the only scene that there's a clear difference in smoothness is at 5:21 (it has more CG) but that scene has the right ingredients to match the original idea (I think).
I sync it frame by frame, every frame. I know the exact ammount of white or black he put into each one and I matched it, and yes, it doesn't work the same way in Higher Resolutions.

Btw, did you ever saw that head poping out in the clip at 2:04, I've never noticed it until I was making, and once you see that you can't unsee. Yet I had to keep the scene ^^'

Why did the (RGB) black levels changed? The same happened on YouTube when I uploaded it.
