We really don't have a policy on unconventional resolutions so I'd say just send the normal version and if you want to include the letterboxed alternative in the notes as a download link you're welcome to do so.
We've got an editor who prepare the contest for play so in the event they run into any problems they know how to solve it without screwing it up.

Info for AMV Roulette 2016 has been posted on the A-M-V.org forums! The 1st place prize is a paid for trip to NDK that includes up to $1,000.00 USD for airfare.
There will be a 100 person limit for signups and only 1 first place prize.

That could technically be explained with a sticky and a proper announcement once things have come together a bit more.

I'm talking more like what the Org has for things like AMV Announcements, Anime Discussion, Opinion Exchange, etc.

We've been discussing a bit but I just now realized that the best way to decide what type of sections should be included for the English section of the forum should probably be decided by the people that would actually be using it :P

If you mean like Akross or Big Contest then it's perfectly fine. If it's not worked into the video then the staff does try to remove them but if it's part of the AMV then it's typically left alone.
