There happens to take place conversations between users and although not yet any community I recently discovered AMV Indonesia. Hopes we could find more

Lately we've seen an increase in the nuber of contests that take place around the world. Which is something good, but what about the AMV Editors?

Do you get involved with the organization of conventions near your location?
Any convention you would like to share with the crowd? if there aren't conventions, are there anime clubs?

I'll talk by myself:

In my city, all the conventions are already set to happen at determined dates. I was the first champion of the AMV Contest during 3 consecutive times, and left the contest to focus in organization of the conventions and contests.

Video must be exclusive for the contest

GoldAMV is a contest sponsored by ZonaAMV.com, in which each participant takes the challenge of editing an AMV under a pre-selected genre by the users from our community.

The GAMV (GoldAMV) will be taken place every year from now, choosing a different genre each year. This will challenge the AMV makers to edit something out of their “normal style”.

That could be subjective mate. Not always a winner is the best (in terms of general amv viewing) It's true that if it's the winner you're talking about, it was chosen due technique, combination, whatever reason you want to give. But it might not please a general audience.

Making a good amv requires a balance between technique and enjoyability
