This is my entry for Zona IC 2018, which took place last weekend and was titled "Battle Royale".
Now, instead of getting rid of other competitors in the spirit of the IC name, I was getting rid of my inner anger by editing action. I believe it was a good idea, in the end, because I learned some new stuff while torturing myself. This is actually a slightly modified version to the one I submitted, as i didn't really have time to focus on transitions when the deadline was approaching, so I resorted to cross fades which got me a real scolding by Arrow, who btw also made this awesome thumbnail for me!
Dear Darkness. As the story and the inspiration are two different things, let's first take a look at the story. For anyone that has watched both seasons of the anime Hakuouki, this will be pretty self-explanatory, as I followed the story of the anime for the most part, except for the way she finds out about their DARK SECRET.
And then the inspiration that no one usually gets (and that's okay cause you'd have to be me in order to know what's going on inside my head) this time was my team ENP. We're totally not bloodthirsty monster samurai. Totally. That's just our most recent MEP.
And finally, the song I used was RED - Darkest Part. I was so excited to see Red in the pack, especially after I've wanted to edit Hakuouki for a while but hadn't found a song that is not too romance but also not too action, before this IC. Red was just perfect. Therefore, here's the AMV! Enjoy! :)
P.S. Play the Hakuouki games guys. They are amazing. There's no way I would have ever edited Hakuouki if I hadn't known the full story from the games. Anime adaptations can only go so far. :)
