Комментарий автора: I love Wolf's Rain. It introduced me to anime outside of children's shows, and I just really wanted to make a video capturing the spirit of it. I found this show really emotionally traumatizing when I first watched it so I definitely wanted to explore the darker elements of the show in this video. I just really hope I did the show justice with this video xD

Собственно, этого клипа не было бы, если бы не Vovan Koperativ, который (к своему счастью) даже не догадывается пока о его существовании))) . Просто он очень помогал советами в ходе подготовки клипа на шеф и дал понять, что лучше сделать простенький клип на БК сейчас, просто для себя, чтобы поделиться эмоциями со зрителями и поддержать кон, чем рожать в муках и так и не родить сложную работу. От того же шефа осталось много материалов из которых самый баянистый и слегка утомивший всех, тем не менее оказался самым благодарным в работе).
Еще раз хочу поблагодарить всех, кто помог не только с этим клипом, но и просто поддерживал как автора после возвращения к хобби. Не всех удалось бы запихнуть в титры, но как минимум хочу сказать спасибо Vovan, Darksss. Hoshirogy - за администрирование греческого шефа и развернутые комментарии к нашим работам. Minstrel за английские титры и ободряющий коммент, KIS за то что накануне заливки насиловал свой интернет, качал версии и помог проверить технические баги. Турбо - за конкурс. Деусу - за то что пока тащит проект, ради которого и пришлось вернуться)

In a country town lives a young artist called Anna. Unfortunately she was with a hard depression because her problems in family and with society where she live. But she didn't expect for a secret... Marnie, her favorite drawing that carried from childhood being her unique and best friend. Marnie appears for her somehow, however, Marnie only appears in Anna’s dream, being the real world some bored and horrible place for Anna, soon, her start to sleep more frequently. A lot of things happens between Anna and Marnie in this dramatic and emotional secret, Secret Drawing.

Wow, this was an arduous and awesome edition. "When Marnie was There" was my choice just because the one republic's music, my brother showed it to me and when I listen I saw a giant relationship with the Ghibli's movie and through of lyrics I was building the story and mainly the project concept.
The mainly objective was to show how some people see the world being in depression. Everything appear to be against you, the person gets to sleep with more frequently, the real world don't have more importance, the problems just not help and even the family trying to help, the sick person thinks that it's against her too. But, isn't just it, Marnie enters in the story as the Anna’s perfect version, without problems, the Anna opposite side, just like a drawing has to be. This secret becomes a differential in final of Anna depression, Marnie is like an imaginary friend that help her every moment in her life.

About the Beethoven is that: He believed that art itself had "secrets" that had to be "forced into" in order to obtain art's highest level.
This is more than sufficient to connect the fact of Marnie to have "own will" even being an art created by Anna. Basically it was my inspiration for this project concept. For an artist their arts aren’t only drawings/arts, are their emotions and secrets. So was born the phrase "The Arts reflects the author’s secrets."
Secret Drawing is a project that has a powerful connection between the music, visual, story and the concept, not just the animation, but the typography, effects, color correction, etc... are included too. There are many things to write about yet, but it’ll become a bible if I keep…

Secret Drawing has a total of 17 secrets words, the goal is find all those words. Finding the words you discover a lot of curiosities put on A.M.V. This isn’t necessary to understand the project concept but you can understand better the scenes connection with music.

- All the “secrets words” are the music lyrics, with exception of two “secrets words”;
- The "secrets words" appears near to its phonetics.
- The “secrets words” aren’t necessary only words, can be other things;
- The “secrets words” does not repeat in others scenes.
- There are 13 “secrets words” that are words (typography);
- There are 03 “secrets words” animated in After Effects with shapes/stroke (you’ll need to interpret these three, the exception of music lyrics are here);
- There are 01 especial “secret word” that is in only one scene and is an effect that appear only once.
- To answer this challenge you must comment the time that appear and the word of “secret word”.

Dukkha translates to unsatisfactoriness (and is represented in the video by the phrase "You realize you are not special") and anatta to non-selfhood ("as you begin to lose your characteristics one by one").

Комментарий автора: Ta-da~! This is my new finished project, everyone! It was actually a spur-of-the-moment attempt to try something new after receiving some instruction from BioticAMVs (she's a sweetheart!!) about compositing modes and parent-child tracks in Sony Vegas. Basically, I wanted to try some new effects and I had been thinking about working with this song for over a year. And thus, Thállein was born. This was meant to carry a theme of love -- something like what it feels to be in love, and to fall into love. The fear, the exhilaration, the confusion, the raw experience. Young love. Pure love. The very early love of teenagers and hopeless romantics.
Thállein made its debut at Anime Weekend Atlanta during the Professional Awards competition, meaning that my editor peers voted for its based upon not who edited it, but upon its merit as a video. Taking two awards home from this contest is a huge honor, and I want to say thank you to each and every peer that voted. That means so much to me, to know that my skill has come this far QwQ.
Also, small trivia, "Thállein" is the ancient Greek term meaning "to flourish," or to grow and be fruitful. This is also the name for the muse of comedy and idyllic poetry :)

I've been listening to a lot of Breaking Benjamin's new album lately and I love this song from it. I starting thinking of a AMV to edit to this song. I finally decided to go with Death Parade because I truly enjoyed this anime as well as I felt the song fit the anime. It took me awhile to start this amv and get to a way I wanted. Finally I decided to edit the part I knew how I wanted it to come out and rest of AMV just came together after that. I'm happy with the way it came out especially after a month of fighting to get it to work :)
